Missouri Assessment Program (MAP)

The Missouri Assessment Program (MAP) includes grade level assessments in English/Language Arts (ELA), mathematics, social studies and science that reflect the Missouri Learning Standards. The assessment plan also includes End of Course (EOC) exams at the high school level. The assessments are conducted online. These summative tests are rigorous, performance-based assessments. Our teachers and students benefit from technological advances, increased accessibility, and improved opportunities to pinpoint student performance levels.

Specifically, the required exams include:

ELA-grades 3-8

Mathematics-grades 3-8

Science-grades 5 and 8

High School EOC exams in Algebra 1, English 2, Biology and Government are taken immediately following successful completion of the appropriate courses.

PCSD BOE Policy IL, Assessment Program, states, "In order to achieve the purposes of the student assessment program and comply with state and federal law, the district requires all enrolled students to participate in all applicable aspects of the district assessment program, including statewide assessements."
