Elementary School Principal

I am proud and very excited to be the Principal at Perryville Elementary School! I joined the Perry County District #32 staff immediately after graduating with my teaching degree as a fourth grade teacher. After 11 years, I decided to transfer to the first grade for three years. To kick off my career as an administrator, for two years I was the assistant principal at Perryville High School. Last year, I was given the opportunity to serve as the principal of the elementary school. It is an honor to serve as principal of the elementary school. We have the best staff and we are always working to make the elementary the best place for students to learn and grow as individuals.
I was born and raised in Perryville and graduated from PHS in 1995. I am proud to be a graduate from this district and value being a member of the Perry County District #32 team. I have a B.S. in Early Childhood Education from Southeast Missouri State University, and I am certified to teach grades preK through sixth grade. Shortly after I began teaching, I followed with a Masters Degree from Webster University in Education. After much thought, I decided to pursue and earned my specialist degree in administration through William Woods University. I believe that all educators should continue their education and stay current with their area of expertise. I am always searching and desiring new information and new ways to help better serve all students. My husband, Andrew, and I reside in Farrar, Missouri, with our three children. We enjoy helping on my husband's farm and love to watch St. Louis Cardinal's baseball. Occasionally we get away to relax on the beach, but usually we are very busy taking our children to dance, baseball, or basketball. We are all looking forward to this school year, attending Pirate games and cheering them on this school year!
