District 32 vocalists and musicians made an impressive showing Saturday at the District Solo & Small Ensemble Contest at Jackson High School. The PHS Choirs had 19 entries and brought home 11 gold medals, 7 silver medals, and 1 bronze. The choirs are directed by Ms. Taylor Davis. The PHS Band brought home four gold medals, 10 silver medals, and a bronze. The band is directed by Mr. Jerry Childers and Mr. Jacob Baggot.
Each soloist and ensemble who earned a gold medal advances to the state competition set for April 25-27 at the University of Missouri-Columbia.
