The Perry County School District 32 Board of Education is seeking applicants to fill a vacancy on the Board following the resignation of Alex Lueders.
The appointed individual will serve until the next Board election in April 2027, at which time a candidate will be elected to fill the remainder of the term, which expires in April 2028.
To be eligible for appointment, a candidate must meet the following qualifications as set forth by Missouri law:
Be a citizen of the United States.
Be a resident taxpayer of the District.
Have resided in Missouri for one year preceding appointment.
Be at least 24 years of age.
Not be delinquent in the payment of any state or local taxes.
Not have been found guilty of or pleaded guilty to a felony.
Not be a registered sex offender.
Have filed all required campaign disclosure reports with the Missouri Ethics Commission, when applicable.

All application information and the interview process will be conducted in open session in compliance with the Missouri Sunshine Law. Applications and interviews, if necessary, will be held on April 29, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at a special open session meeting.
